JESUS, OUR REWARD

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

John the Baptist said, “He must increase, but I must decrease (John 3:30).” There are things that each of us need to die to so that the love of Jesus Christ will increase in our hearts. Our reward in life is not a big home, a fine automobile, a fancy job title, wealth, or education. Jesus Christ, the undisputed champion, is our reward. Because of Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven.

This world will change when people recognize that He must increase and they must decrease.

Our walk with Christ is a role that we faithfully play but we must never confuse our role with our reward. Jesus is the Light of the world. Jesus Christ is our reward.

To finish strong, He must increase and we must decrease.

LET’S PRAY

Dear Heavenly Father,

Sometimes I lose sight of the purpose of my journey but I’m reminded not to confuse my role with my reward. Thank you for taking me through the process to remove hidden things entrenched in my character so that I may become more like Christ.

I am more exciting about Jesus Christ than the role that I play in this life. Holy Spirit help me to love the one who forgave my sins more than the creature comforts that I experience on this journey of life, in the name of Jesus, amen.

~inspire hope and season faith through Jesus Christ,
