Light of Life

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Praise the Lord for Day 18 of 21 days of Prayer! Walking with God reflects your choice to follow the path you were created for. It is you becoming light in dark places. Today, let your light shine in front of others (Matthew 5:16). You are a reflection of righteousness, peace and joy. Others will see it and wonder. Some will experience it and desire it. And there will be those who sense it and will reject it because they don't understand it. Regardless, do the new you! God’s purposes must be owned in our hearts if they are ever to manifest in our lives.

You'll find a very good discussion of this in Ephesians 5:8-21. Verse 8 says, "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light." When a boy becomes a man, he thinks differently. He sees business differently. His desires and plans refocus. Eventually his change becomes visible. Like a new beam of light that suddenly appears - Everyone in the room takes notice of it. Be that laser beam of hope! Let the awakening of God's purposes in you manifest in the room of 2017.

TODAY'S PRAYER

Father, I am changing. Every word I hear and read about You come alive to me. This experience walking with You is a reflection I want to have everywhere I go. Let my signature be light that dispels darkness. Light that replaces sadness with joy. Light that awakens understanding in me and those around me. Thank you Jesus for being the light of the world and passing that light to those who follow you (John 8:12). It has truly changed me so that I no longer walk in darkness, but now I have the light of life. In Jesus's name, Amen!
